What is the Study Management feature?
The PACS Study Management feature allows physicians to securely access, organize, and work with patient imaging studies. This includes managing patient lists, searching and filtering studies, and performing key actions like creating reports, viewing images, exporting studies, and sharing results.
It streamlines workflows by providing an intuitive interface where all patient studies are centralized, accessible from any device, and integrated with reporting and collaboration tools.
How are studies managed in PACS?
- Patient List: Physicians see a consolidated list of patients they have access to.
- Search: Locate studies quickly by patient name, MRN, or study description.
- Filters: Refine the study list by date ranges.
- Pagination: Adjust the number of studies shown (10, 25, 30, 50, 100).
- Analytics: Use the dashboard to filter studies by draft, finalized, or pending reports.
What information is shown in the Patient List?
Each patient bar in the study list includes:
- MRN (Medical Record Number)
- DOB (Date of Birth)
- Study Date
- Image Count in the study
- Study ID
- Action Buttons:
- Create Report
- View Study (DICOM Viewer)
- Download Study
- Export/Share Study
- AI Assistant (report drafting)
What types of studies can PACS manage?
PACS can manage all standard DICOM imaging studies, including:
- X-ray

Can I collaborate on studies with other physicians?
Yes. Physicians can:
- Share access with collaborators.
- Add notes on studies.
- View notes created by colleagues.
- Work together on reports and addenda until finalization.
How does PACS ensure secure study management?
- All study data is encrypted in transit and at rest.
- Access is role-based, ensuring only authorized physicians can see or edit a study.

Can patients access their studies?
Yes. Physicians can generate secure links to share with patients via email or SMS.

Can I delete or remove studies?
- Physicians can remove their uploaded studies from their account.
