What is the Study Management feature?
The QNPACS Study Management feature allows physicians/scribes/staff to securely access, and work with patient imaging studies. This includes searching and filtering studies, and performing key actions like creating reports, viewing images, exporting studies, and sharing results.
It streamlines workflows by providing an intuitive interface where all patient studies are centralized, accessible from any device, and integrated with reporting and collaboration tools.
How are studies managed in QNPACS?
Studies in QNPACS are organized to help physicians quickly find, review, and track reporting status.
- Patient List: Physicians can view a consolidated list of patients and studies they are authorized to access.
- Search: Quickly locate studies using patient name, MRN, or study description.
- Filters: Refine the study list using date range filters.
- Pagination: Control how many studies are displayed per page (10, 25, 30, 50, 100).
- Analytics Dashboard: Filter and monitor studies based on report status, including draft, finalized, or pending reports.

What information is shown in the Patient List?
Each study entry (patient bar) displays key patient and study details, including:
- MRN (Medical Record Number)
- DOB (Date of Birth)
- Study Date
- Image count for the study
- Study ID
- Study description
- Comments
Action buttons available for each study include:
- Create Report
- View Study
- Download Study
- Export / Share Study
What types of studies can QNPACS manage?
QNPACS supports all standard DICOM imaging modalities, including:
- X-ray
- CT
- MRI
- Ultrasound
- PET
- Other DICOM-compliant imaging modalities
How does QNPACS ensure secure study management?
- All study data is encrypted in transit and at rest.
- Access is role-based, ensuring only authorized physicians/scribes/staff can see or edit a study.
- Shared reports are delivered through secure links that expire after 30 minutes.
Can patients access their studies?
Yes. Physicians/Staff can send secure links to share with patients via email.
- Patients can view their studies online.
- Reports are displayed in a patient-friendly format.
Can I delete or remove studies?
- Physicians can remove their uploaded studies from their account.
- For compliance, system-level retention policies may apply depending on your organization.
- Studies are never visible to unauthorized users.
