Data Deletion
Secure Handling & Permanent Removal of Imaging Studies, Reports, and Accounts
Automatic Deletion of Study Data
- All imaging studies, draft reports, and notes in PACS are automatically deleted after 30 days from their creation, unless linked to a finalized report or retained under organizational compliance rules.
- This ensures that unnecessary or temporary data does not remain in the system longer than required.
Manual Deletion of Studies & Reports
If you wish to delete data before the 30-day retention period:
- Use the Delete Study or Delete Report option within the PACS interface.
- If you cannot access your account (e.g., subscription issues, organizational access revoked), you may request manual deletion by contacting support:
Email: support@[yourdomain].com
Subject Line: “PACS Data Deletion Request”
Include the following details:
- Your full name
- Registered email address
- Associated organization (if any)
- Patient study ID(s) or report ID(s) to be deleted
Once your identity is verified, deletion requests will be processed within 10 business days.
Permanent Deletion of Account
If you wish to permanently delete your PACS account:
- First, cancel your active subscription (if applicable).
- Submit a request to support@[yourdomain].com for account deletion.
- Your account will enter inactive status for 45 days (suspension period).
- During this time, your access will be blocked, but data may be retained for compliance.
- After 45 days, your account will be scheduled for permanent deletion.
- Within 4 additional weeks, all associated account data — including personal details, imaging studies, reports, and notes — will be permanently removed and cannot be recovered.
Permanent Deletion of Organization
An organization admin may permanently delete the entire PACS organization.
Steps to Delete an Organization:
- Go to Organization Settings.
- Select Delete Organization.
- Confirm deletion by following the on-screen prompts.
Important
- Only an admin can perform this action.
- Once deleted, all users lose access to shared studies, reports, and organizational data.
- Ensure all necessary backups are completed before deletion.
